This is an aspirational & empowering Grime Music strand for Flexus Dance Collective’s highly reputable ‘All About The Fight’ Sport & Culture Project. This is the launch of a new Grime Music participation opportunity as part of Flexus Dance Collective’s explosive mixed Boxing & Culture ‘All About The Fight’ project for young people aged between 11-18 years. This inspirational project will provide participants the opportunity to work with professional Grime Artist J Man, & Beats Composer MadEP, creating their own new Grime Music Tracks to share at a professional theatre venue.
Project Overview
WORKSHOP DAY:
Participate in a Boxing skill Session with professional Boxing Coach
Participate in a ‘Positive Change’ discussion session with Artistic Director, Katy Sterran based on the empowering themes and concepts of the ‘All About The Fight’ project as inspiration for creation of new Grime Tracks.
Work with professional Grime Artist, J Man in the writing of new inspirational Grime lyrics
Work with DJ & Beats Composer, MadEP to create and record new Grime Tracks.
PERFORMANCE/SHARING:
Opportunity to perform live or share a recorded version of new Grime Track in a professional venue as a curtain raiser for ‘All About The Fight – Going The Distance!’ by professional company, Sterran Dance Theatre.
Opportunity to watch the inspirational ‘All About The Fight – Going The Distance!’ mixed Dance, Boxing, Grime work by Sterran Dance Theatre.
