Applications for Future Talent are now open, and close on Friday 24th April.
This year, Future Talent are introducing an important change: their awards will now run on a two-year cycle, giving young musicians greater continuity of support and enabling them to work more sustainably alongside them. They won’t be opening our main application round again until 2028, so this will be an important intake!
The three programmes are:
- Junior Awards – for younger musicians showing early promise (ages 8-14 / £500 bursary per year)
- Development Awards – targeted support for specific musical or progression needs (ages 12-16 / £1,000 bursary per year)
- Senior Awards – for advanced students preparing for conservatoire or professional pathways (ages 16-18 / £1,000-£2,000 bursary per year)
For Senior applicants currently in Year 13, awards may be offered for one year only.
