The Music Service is keen to support young people and to broaden their understanding of routes to employment in the creative industries. We are promoting Creative Careers Week 2023 and encourage you to register and gain insight into the many opportunities available.

Featuring panellists from across the creative industries who work in some of the lesser-known ‘behind the scenes’ roles, this discussion will demonstrate how young people can apply a huge range of skill sets and interests and have an exciting and fulfilling career in the creative industries.

The panellists include: Gwyn March, CPD Adviser at the Institute of Practitioners in Advertising (Chair); Marcia Blackwood, Hair and Make Up Designer whose credits include Top Boy, Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey, Man Like Mobeen and Years and Years; Eugene Matthew, Production Accountant at Netflix;  Lisa Pemberton, Head of People at Cogent, an advertising agency based in the West Midlands; Jerry Knight-Smith, Trainee Solicitor at Counterculture Partnership LLP and former Head of Casting and Associate Director at Manchester Royal Exchange Theatre.
