Following on from the success of the Classical 100 resource bank, ABRSM have launched the Classroom 200, a selection of 200 pieces of music for children aged from 5 to 14. The Classroom 200 includes example performances of Folk, Jazz, Pop, Film and TV, Songs from Musicals, Western Classical and culturally diverse music from around the world for use in classroom music lessons.
Each musical item contains downloadable lesson plans, differentiated resource worksheets, and a YouTube clip. There are also suggestions for further listening and ideas for extending the lesson work. The collection can be filtered by title or keyword, appropriate age range, musical elements and group type.
The Classroom 200 supports the Model Music Curriculum Key Stages 1-3.
