Wolverhampton Music Service’s Youth Choir have been selected to perform alongside the prestigious City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra for two Christmas shows on Sunday 17th December, at the Civic at The Hall Wolverhampton. The Youth Choir features young people aged between 11 and 18 from schools across Wolverhampton, and they rehearse on Tuesday evenings 5.30 – 7.30pm at Wolverhampton Music Service.

Phaedra Nicholls, Director of the Youth Choir, said “We’re very proud to be able to show off the talents and hard work of the Youth Choir, and we are extremely excited to be part of such as fun and enjoyable show. Working with the CBSO is a great opportunity for the Choir, and members are loving singing festive favourites such as White Christmas and Jingle Bells.

The show involves zipping around the world on an orchestral adventure to track down Father Christmas. Along the way the audience will ice skate on frozen lakes, go on a Sleigh Ride and enjoy a white Christmas, all without leaving the Civic at The Hall Wolverhampton.  Music will include Sleigh Ride, William Tell, The Nutcracker, E.T., It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year, Songs from Home Alone, Harry’s Wonderous World, We’re Going on a Bear Hunt, Mother Goose, and many more. There are two showings on Sunday 17th December – 1pm and 5pm.
