Last year, when we released our Brochure of Services for Schools, we encouraged you to build an instrumentalmusic offer in your school. The pandemic had thrown a spotlight on the value of creativity. It was our ambition to encourage every school to work with us so that there was an equity of opportunity for children to learn a musical instrument during their time at school.
I am really pleased that Wolverhampton Schools have risen to that challenge. Weekly instrumental music is nowprovided by the Music Service in 92% of local primary schools and 88% of local secondary schools with only asmall number of schools yet to build their provision with us.
Our group teaching model and the long term loan of a musical instrument still provides the most affordable model for Wolverhampton families. And of course, there remains some free entitlement for every school in the city.

All services should be ordered using the official order forms by Tuesday 31st May to enable timetabling for September.
