The saxophone team at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire are holding a Saxophone Day on March 12th 2023. They would like to invite you and your students to join this free event which will offer the opportunity to experience:
- Graded ensembles coached by our tutors, side by side with RBC students
- Multi-instrumental workshop on theatre playing
- Improvisation sessions
- Recitals by visiting artists Alex Sebastianutto and Laefer Quartet
- Informal foyer performances and masterclass opportunities
- Instrument repair consultations
- Reed consultation with D’Addario
- Chance to meet RBC students and staff
- Creative workshop with Misfits Music founder – Rob Jones
- A wide range of trade stands including sheet music, instrument and general equipment
The event is open to players of all ages but with a special emphasis on inspiring and connecting young saxophonists across the country.
To get the most out of the event we recommend participants are at a minimum standard of grade 3.
