#RelightMusic
“Red Week” May 2021 – our talented staff have been out in schools performing in small ensembles (almost 60 schools!) as a part of our #RelightMusic initiative to continue to encourage and ensure the return of music to schools in the city. Many more of our Music School ensembles have returned to rehearsals both at the Music School and at the new venue of Newhampton Road Arts Centre and we look forward to a full return in September
We have been seriously overwhelmed by the fantastic reaction and superb enthusiasm of the students in the schools where we have performed and the genuinely warm welcome we have had from staff. So many smiles from everyone involved! These events take place of course alongside our instrumental lessons that have already returned to most schools – it’s brilliant to back performing and teaching live again!
