The Art Gallery lunchtime concerts resume this week following a long pause during the pandemic. Young musicians from across the city will be entertaining visitors to the gallery on the following dates with a varied programme of music. The first concert includes a group of young musicians from Our Lady and St Chad Catholic Academy playing music from Mozart to Ed Sheeran. These secondary school pupils are from year 7 to year 13 and have been preparing their favourite pieces this term for concerts and exams. Please come along and support them at this free event which starts at 1pm on Friday 11th November. The gallery café will be open for refreshments.

Head of Wolverhampton Music Service, Ciaran O’Donnell said “We are delighted to see the return of these popular music concerts at the Art Gallery. We hope they will inspire our young people and give people a great feel-good factor on Friday lunchtimes. We all know that music, more than any other art form, has the power to give us an immediate emotional boost, so this may be just what many of us need.”
