Learning the theory of music is a valuable tool to have as a musician. Understanding the mechanics of how music is created can help to better understand how you perform it. If you have a budding composer, learning theory is essential.
To progress to the higher grades on your instrument you may be required to have passed your Grade 5 Theory.
If a student receives lessons from the Wolverhampton Music Service or is a member of a Music School ensemble, they can access theory lessons from the Music service free of charge to prepare them for the ABRSM theory exams.
