Mar 6, 2019

The renowned BBC Concert Orchestra is offering schools the chance to bring Key Stage 2 students to see a live orchestral performance at Dudley Town Hall of  music from Ten Pieces free of charge. These school-friendly concerts will feature the Orchestra, with a world class conductor and exciting presenter opening up the world of classical music to young people.

A choice of two concert dates are available at Dudley Town Hall

Wednesday 19 June 2019 13.30 – 14.45 and Thursday 20 June 2019 10.30 – 11.45

With the aim of inspiring a generation of children to get creative with classical music, the Ten Pieces programme invites children aged 7-14 to develop their own creative responses to ten pieces of music. The initiative has so far reached over four million people across the UK, sold out four BBC Proms concerts and won a Bafta for the Ten Pieces II film

How will young people participate in the concerts?  All students attending the concerts will be able to participate through a performance of Anna Meredith’s “Connect It”  that can be learned in advance if you wish!

How much will it cost?  Tickets to the concerts are free. Schools are responsible for arranging their own transport to the venue, and for providing the appropriate number of staff.

How do we book?  Please email [email protected] or phone 01384 812812 to book tickets.
