Dhol Fusion lessons at the OSWB Academy.
“We would like to say a big thankyou to Mr Singh from Wolverhampton Music Service who ran a Dhol Drumming workshop as part of a rewards experience for a small group of Year 7 students. These students have been selected for excellent work in their Music lessons last term, and will be offered the chance to continue learning to play the drums. As part of the taster, 2 Year 9 students took part in mentoring the younger students and were excellent teachers. Video coming soon!” @oswbacademy
Dhol Fusion workshop at Broadmeadow Special School.
On Friday 14th January we welcomed Harjit Singh from the Wolverhampton Music Service who provided a music workshop for each class, introducing us to the Dhol drum. The children were given the opportunity to listen to him play along to fusion music and have a go themselves on their own mini Dhol. We finished each session with a Dhol parade around the hall. Harjit really enjoyed his time at Broadmeadow so I’m sure we will see him again very soon!
