The CBSO are shortly beginning this year’s Project Remix!
They are still on the lookout for a few instruments, particularly Trombone, Viola, Double Bass, Percussion or Bass Guitar. Players should be around Grade 5 standard or above.
Project Remix is free of charge to participants and is open to students aged 11-18.
In Spring 2025, they will be looking back over Project Remix’s previous contemporary music themes as participants are mentored through rehearsals by their very own CBSO musicians. The project will take place on Tuesday and/or Thursday Evenings over a number of weeks and will culminate in a performance at Symphony Hall on Sunday 16 March 2025.
As well as the more typical orchestral instruments, the ensemble also includes instruments such as electric guitars, bass guitars and drum kit.
The rehearsal schedule is as follows:

There will also be a rehearsal at Symphony Hall on Sunday 16 March from 13:30 – 14:30 before the concert at 16:30 – 17:15.
